| Designed for the Queen. Fit
for the King. The Elizabeth Anne is the ultimate
embodiment of grace and strength, a classically
pure confluence of many things from the Thomas
Chippendale period, roughly 1745-1779. The
artistry is best exemplified through the
beautiful strand of pearls that surround the
upper and lower cabinets, intersecting with a
boldly embellished center cabinet carving.
Designed by Dwight T. Porter, this grand design
is well-proportioned, blending ancient Roman
sensibilities with the craftsmanship that
distinguished the golden age of cabinetry. |
