| Magnificent architectural
décor and historic events inspired master
designer and sculptor Dwight Porter to create
the “Lady Shannon” masterpiece centered around
the glorious reign of the Hapshuburg family of
the Austrian Empire. Positioned in the game room
of Schonburnn Castle next to the theater
commissioned by ruler and devoted mother Empress
Maria Theresa, the “Lady Shannon” makes her
debut. The exotic sedua top rails, inlaid with
the gold engraved nameplate and surrounded by
mother-of-pearl detail, certainly would have
pleased the great Napoleon as he enjoyed a
relaxing game at the castle between the battles
of Austerlitz and Wagrum. Thus another
masterpiece of the Renaissance Royal Family of
Billiard Tables, takes its place in the court of
Tradition and Opulence. |
