| Influenced by Italian and
English designers, the Siena is an exceptional
example of conspicuous highlights against a
classically carved backdrop. Thousands of tiny
solid wood inlays highlight the cabinetry and
legs. The inlays are hand-cut from the finest
select woods, and alternate from mahogany, black
ebony, birds-eye maple and pear wood. Its
construction of solid alder cabinetry with deep
lustrous routs reflect an emphasis on English
design, while the tapered legs with flutes are
of the Italian influence. The fine craftsmanship
of the table links it historically to furniture
built during precious centuries. Only solid wood
is used. This table’s cabinets are braced
internally with two solid poplar hardwood beams
nestled into the routed crossbeam slots, as
opposed to the modern method of being glued.
Even the braces are sanded and finished,
demonstrating our commitment to fine
craftsmanship and enduring quality. |
